Bralirwa House
Kigali, Rwanda
A new Eco House for the Managing Director of Braliwra, Rwanda’s flagship brewery. The house reflects the firms corporate ethos of producing high quality products using the highest quality home grown ingredients.
The house is inspired by traditional Rwandan homesteads and is broken into numerous wings arranged around a well defined series of courtyards. Thus the blocks can be sited to follow the natural topography and minimise the visual impact on this wonderful site.
The house pioneers new local high quality construction technologies – glue laminated timber, Strawtec panels, eco concrete and rammed earth.
